Where to put QR codes at an event (so people actually scan them)

A QR code only works if people see it when they have a free hand and a moment. These are the places that work best.

Where it works

  • On every table, at eye level: a small folded card or a frame.
  • By the bar and the photo corner, where people wait.
  • On the entrance sign, for guests arriving early.
  • On a screen or projector between sessions, sets or speeches.

How big

At least 3 cm across for a table card, 10 cm for a sign read from a few steps away. Keep a white border around the code; phones need it.

What to write next to it

Say what happens: 'Scan to add your photos to our album.' You can print table cards and signs straight from the Snap In app.
